SHILUBA MAWELA
Founder and Managing Partner
Shiluba is the Managing Partner of Tshiamo Impact Partners. Most recently, she consulted as the Secretariat Co-Lead for the National Taskforce for Impact Investing at the UCT Bertha Centre. Her broad capital markets and impact investment expertise also complements her leadership role at Tshiamo Impact Partners as they establish an Agriculture Value Chain Impact Fund.
Shiluba’s corporate finance experience includes mergers and acquisitions, valuations, commercial due diligences as well as transaction structuring.

Her talents have been employed at companies ranging from the JSE to a boutique corporate finance firm.In addition to leadership roles, Shiluba’s current non-Executive experience extends to serving on the Board and Investment Committee of a R6 billion investment holding company and on the board of the FirstRand Foundation, where she also serves as the Chair of the Audit, Risk & Compliance (ARC) Committee.
In each capacity she is able to leverage her industry expertise and skills to provide guidance to ExCos.Shiluba previously served as Senior Project Manager on the Youth Employment Service (YES)– a national business-led initiative which is supported by the office of the Presidency.

During her tenure and stewardship of the organisation s overall project management activities, finance and fundraising; YES was able to affect legislative change to promote job creation.
Shiluba began her career in Professional Services as a Chartered Accountant. She has worked for Ernst & Young (EY) in their banking and capital markets division, in both the Johannesburg and New York office.

While at EY, she was Project Co- ordinator for an entrepreneurship social responsibility initiative. Among her many accomplishments Shiluba can count being a World Economic Forum Global Shaper Alumni and Mandela Washington Fellow.

Lerato Lepholletse started her career at Coronation Fund Managers in 2022 as a Personal Investments Validations graduate trainee, where she gained exposure to the retail business of asset management. Lerato holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree specializing in Finance and Accounting from the University of Cape Town (UCT). Further, she completed the UCT Data Analysis short course in 2023 and is currently working towards her Financial Modelling and Valuation (FMVA) Certification from the Corporate Finance Institute.
While at UCT, Lerato served in the Young Women Professionals subcommittee at InvestSoc UCT where she organized events aimed at exposing female students to a career in Finance and educating them about the industry. Lerato was selected as a UCT Commerce mentor, where she helped a first-year student transition into university during the challenging Covid 19 pandemic. She also served as a student consultant at Phaphama Sedi - a student-run NGO, where she assisted an entrepreneur based in Philippi in marketing, financial planning, and strategy, resulting in increased sales.

In 2020, Lerato founded Beauty Nation, a hair extension and wig customization business. Thereafter, she co-founded Star Empire, a jewellery business, and set up an online store that delivered nationwide. Additionally, Lerato represented South Africa in the 2013 Marching Auxiliary Championship in Fort Worth, Texas, as a member of the South African Junior Drum Majorettes team.
